About Jen
Jennifer is a founding parent of both Brookewood and the Avalon School. She is a native of the Washington area and a graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development. Seeing a need for sports at Brookewood, she started a field hockey program in the fall of 2007. The sports program has developed to fielding eight sports: field hockey, soccer, volleyball, cross country, basketball, swimming, lacrosse and softball. She also teaches 1st-8th grade Physical Education at Brookewood and coaches MS School field hockey and basketball. Jennifer and her husband Kevin, the head of school at the Avalon School, live in Silver Spring, Maryland with their six children, all of whom have graduated from Brookewood and Avalon.
