About Anna
Anna (Anya) Parker joins Brookewood School this fall of 2023 as our second grade teacher.
Originally from Ukraine, Anna Parker’s educational journey began with a focus on music. In 1995, she earned her MA in Music History and Theory from the Kharkiv State Institute of Arts. It was during her final year of college that Anna embarked on her teaching career, a path she has followed since.
Anna met her future husband, Kyle, in Ukraine, and in 2000, they married and moved to the United States. The Parkers are now proud parents of eight children, and their joy multiplied when they welcomed their first granddaughter last year. Two of Anna’s daughters graduated from Brookewood (’19 and ’21) and one is a current student.
Outside of the classroom, Anna enjoys the great outdoors. Her list of outdoor activities includes hiking, walking, kayaking, gardening, mushroom picking, fishing, berry picking, and camping. Anna is eager to share these experiences with her students and hopes to take the girls on invigorating hikes for some of their field trips this year.
